Rio Ferdinand vs Pubill in EA FC 27: which card is better?

Rio Ferdinand and Pubill are both 89-rated CBs in FC 27 Ultimate Team, one a Base Icon from England, the other a Future Stars card from Atlético de Madrid. Both carry Anticipate as a PlayStyle+ and both can be used as Defender role cards, so the choice comes down to build and flexibility.

Ferdinand has the higher DEF (90 against 89), better PAC (84 against 83) and stronger interceptions at 89, plus Jockey, Slide Tackle and Precision Header. Pubill counters with PAS 77, DRI 76 and jumping 93, Block and Relentless, and he can also play at RB. Ferdinand suits a deep, reactive back line; Pubill suits a high line with more passing out of defence and aerial duels.

Pick Ferdinand if you want a pure interceptor with a Base Icon's pace and 3-star skills. Pick Pubill if you need a younger, more flexible CB who can also cover RB and starts attacks.
