Best EA FC 27 central midfielder cards

This page ranks the best central midfielders (CM) in FC 27 Ultimate Team with no budget limit, ordered by meta rating rather than the number on the card. The top ten mixes Base Icons, a Gold card and two Team of the Week cards, so the list covers very different price tiers.

The top cards share high passing and dribbling, with average face stats of 86 PAS and 88 DRI, plus 80 DEF and 80 PHY for the work off the ball. Pinged Pass, Incisive Pass and Long Ball Pass are the most common PlayStyles+, with Intercept and Bruiser covering defence. Lothar Matthäus and Roy Keane fit a physical box-to-box role, Iniesta and Pedri suit a creative playmaker, and Patrick Vieira anchors a deeper midfield.

Pick a CM that matches your build: a passer for through balls, or a Bruiser and Intercept type for a destroyer. Prices move, so check what is tradeable in your own club first.
