Dominik Szoboszlai vs Álvaro Carreras in EA FC 27: which card is better?

Álvaro Carreras (Team of the Week, 83) and Dominik Szoboszlai (Ultimate Scream, 88) both play on the flanks of a back line in FC 27 Ultimate Team, but they do very different jobs. Carreras is a pace-first left back, while Szoboszlai is a right back who brings midfield quality.

Carreras wins on speed: PAC 88 with 89 sprint speed and 86 acceleration, plus 3-star skill moves and Jockey for one-on-one defending. His Wingback role suits an attacking full-back who overlaps. Szoboszlai is stronger almost everywhere else: PAS 88, DEF 85, shot power 91, free kicks 90, and Long Ball Pass as a PlayStyle+. He can also cover CAM, CDM and CM, and his Holding role makes him a stable, deeper presence. I would pick Carreras for a high-tempo wide build and Szoboszlai for a possession side that wants a creative defender and a set-piece taker.

Choose Szoboszlai if you want the stronger all-round card and dead-ball threat; choose Carreras if raw pace and a left-sided wingback matter more to your squad.
