Best EA FC 27 cards with Intercept
The best EA FC 27 cards with the Intercept PlayStyle or Intercept+, ranked by meta rating, with live prices.
Scout report
Intercept is a Defending PlayStyle that gives a player increased reach and better odds of keeping the ball when making interceptions. In FC 27 Ultimate Team, 995 cards carry it at either tier, plain or PlayStyle+, so it is easy to find but worth ranking.
Centre-backs lead the way with 452 cards, followed by CDM with 207, CM with 111, LB with 98 and RB with 84. The best-rated cards here are Paolo Maldini (93 CB, Base Icon) and Franz Beckenbauer (93 CB, Base Icon). If you want a midfield screen instead, Kobbie Mainoo (89 CDM, Future Stars) and Formiga (90 CDM, Base Icon) are strong picks, while Homare Sawa (91 CM, Base Icon) suits a box-to-box role.
Worth building around if you defend by reading passes and cutting lanes rather than tackling. Defenders and holding midfielders get the most from it.
