Best EA FC 27 cards with Block
The best EA FC 27 cards with the Block PlayStyle or Block+, ranked by meta rating, with live prices.
Scout report
Block is a Defending PlayStyle that gives your player increased reach when performing blocks and improves the chance of a successful block. In FC 27, 598 cards carry it at either tier, plain or PlayStyle+, so it is one of the more common defensive traits in Ultimate Team.
Block matters most for defenders who stand between the ball and goal, which is why CB (378 cards), RB (63), LB (63), CDM (43) and CM (32) carry it most. The top of the ranking is led by Lilian Thuram at RB, followed by Jaap Stam as a CDM Hero and Raphaël Varane at CB. Centre-backs like Pubill, Marcel Desailly and Giorgio Chiellini suit a deeper, shot-stopping line, while Claude Makélélé fits a holding midfield.
Pick Block if your style relies on a compact back line and you want defenders who get a body in the way of shots. Check the ranked cards for the position you actually need to fill.
