1v1 Close Down+ is the upgraded PlayStyle+ tier in the Goalkeeping category. It gives unique reflex and anticipation save animations, a faster rush speed and a better read of close shot trajectories. In FC 27, 7 cards carry it, and all of them are goalkeepers.
The PlayStyle+ matters most when a striker is through on goal, because the keeper closes the angle faster and reads the shot earlier. Every card here plays at GK. Thibaut Courtois (90) tops the ranking by meta rating, followed by Edwin van der Sar (88, Base Icon) and Gregor Kobel (87). Jan Oblak (88) and Alisson (87) are the other Gold options, and Jerzy Dudek (86, Base Hero) is the Hero pick.
